This can lead to dramatic operating efficiency differences from one shift to the next and can affect all levels of a plant’s operation from production scheduling to staffing. This article shows how one organization applied Technology Transfer and Training methodologies to build a culture that enabled the manufacturer to operate a new complex batching system producing quality product during the first batch. A true testament to the importance of supporting the operators in attaining a common goal, and jointly developing training plans and validated materials for future use and reference.
